Restaurants and Bars
My favourite restaurants are; Kaptan, Coriander, Blue Marlin, Salt and Pepper, ATA, Mey and Mezze and Şahika in Bezirgan.
Mahal is beautiful for romantic dinners.
Bodamya or Degirmen fish farms in Islamlar are also worth visiting for meals.
I like Sandal Bar where they make good music and cocktails. The Bar also shows major sport events live there. There are also pool tables and dart.
For Turkish desserts, cakes and ice cream, I go to Köşem or Nur Pastahanesi in city Center.

Beach Clubs
Customs house is Located next to Kalkan Public Beach ( 30 m ) and this amazing location is also very close only 80 m to the harbour where shuttle boats depart to various Beach Clubs. I usually go to Indigo which is in walking distance but also enjoyed Zest, Mahal and Lures .
Shopping
I usually buy groceries at Migros or Macro also use other shops in town such as Carrefour SA, Arçelik and Bim.You should also visit the market on Thursdays ( near to Belediye- Municipality ) where you can purchase items at good price ( do not forget to bargain ) plus good lunch offerings there.
Sight seeing
There are many agencies organising sight seeing tours around Kalkan. There are many to choose from. I used Osman Mutlu for boat trips to Meis twice and I was very happy with the experience. You must try it.
Should your time allows, you should visit historical sites: Patara Beach and Ruins, Tlos, Kekova Sunken City, Myra Ruins, Saklıkent Canyon, Mesis (Kastellorizo ) Island ( Greece ) I also enjoy going to Kas for a day and the scenery is beautiful of the coastal road which was rated as one of the best by Conde Nast.
There are also daily boat trips organised by many companies from Harbour Front such as Whisper, Adda Tours, Falcon boat )
If you are interested to go to Kekova sunken city, I would recommend to rent a boat from Üçağız ( you need to drive there ) Arzum boat is reliable .
Car Rental
I rent a car at Dalaman Airport via Avis or Budget which are very reliable and cars are new and service is very good although it is slightly more expensive.
SPA and Recreation
There are many good Spas and Hamams in Kalkan to name few of them which I only used Pirat Hamam in walking distance and Arcadia ( they can pick you up ) and I was very pleased with the both experience: There are also other spas

Wedding / Event
Most beach clubs organise weddings and special events in Kalkan. Indigo is an ideal venue.
There is also a new venue called Kaptan dine and dance at Islamlar would be also great venue for weddings and special events.

Most Restaurants and Supermarkets deliver products to your doorstep. There is also an app to order online for food and supplies delivery.

Car Parking
Like many properties in the historic KALKAN’s old town, there is no private parking space reserved for individual houses. The road is narrow and has two way traffic. However, you can still have opportunities to park your car roadsides while you stay at Customs House Properties in Kalkan. I usually find a space for my car especially in the morning and late in the evening.
The good news is that, there is a large car park at the Marina Area near the Coast Guard / Indigo Beach Club for car parking which is 80- 100 m away from Customs House.
You can leave it overnight. This is the safest and best option and pay according to the number of hours you park there. ( highly recommended in July and August )
Additionally, Customs House apartments are located at beachfront and there are 10-12 free car parking spaces on the beachfront. It is based on a first come first park basis and free of charge. I always find space in this space easily. If you advise us your exact arrival time to Kalkan, we can strive to reserve a car parking space for you ( except July and August )
